Rev. William Campbell officiated the services. Burial followed under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Mrs. Napier passed away at 3 a.m., Monday, February 25, at Highland Hospital in Shreveport, following a brief illness. She was born in Converse, and was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edmon Napier; one daughter, Laverne Drake; and two grandsons, Fran Kile, and Oscar Wright. She is survived by her children, Opal Wright of Converse, Jack Napier of Zwolle, J. E., Napier Jr. of Laurel, Mississippi, Maxine Kile of Converse, Betty Skinner of Florien, Bobbie Leatherwood of Converse, Carolyn Martin of Many; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Reimers of DeBerry, Texas, and Mrs. Dovie Roberts of Arrey, New Mexico; one brother, J. E. Ford of St. Petersburg, Indiana; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces. Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
