Nabours 2 Mar 1934 - Friends of Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Nabours will regret to learn of the death of their nephew, Cecil Maxie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Maxie of the Recknor community, who died in a Shreveport sanitarium Sunday night, after a week's illness with appendicitis. Cecil was a most exemplary young man, a favorite in the community in which he lived. Those surviving him are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Maxie, four sisters and three brothers, with a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were laid to rest Monday afternoon at Pilgrim's Rest Monday afternoon, the Rev. J. M. Pate, pastor of the Many Baptist church, conducting the services.
