L Nabours 22 Oct 1945 - Last rites for G. L Nabours, age 60 years, were held last Sunday at the First Baptist church at 3:00 p.m. Rev. C. W. Williams officiated. Interment was in Many cemetery under the direction of the Dennis-Green funeral home. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Emma Nabours; three sons, Cranfill of Many, Maston and Huey of Port Arthur, Texas; one daughter, Miss Nell Nabours of Many; two brothers, Robert K. Nabours of Manhattan, Kans., and L. M. Nabours of Alexandria; four sisters, Mrs. J. F. Lout and Mrs. G. C. Floyd of Shreveport, Mrs. J. M. Moore of Lake Charles and Miss Mae Nabours of Kansas City, Mo., also four grandchildren. Mr. Nabours passed away at the family home at 7:20 last Friday evening after a short illness. He was the first rural mail carrier for route one, also served as a member of the school board, was associated with the J. H. McNeely Mercantile company for years. Since retirement from active business he had operated a taxi. Mr. Nabours was an active member of First Baptist church where he was a faithful member.
