All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - Mrs. Mary Alice McNeely Nash 30 Nov 1956 - Mrs. Mary Alice McNeely Nash, widow of the late Dr. John V. Nash, died at her home in Many on Nov. 21 at the age of 83. She was a life-long resident of Many where for many years she had been an active member of the First Baptist church. Her parents, W. W. McNeely and Mary Barbee McNeely, had been residents of Many for many years and both were members of the pioneer families who settle in Sabine parish. Mrs. Nash is survived by one son, John V. Nash, and one granddaughter, Margaret Ann Nash, both of Many; and by one sister, Mrs. H. R. Johnson of San Antonio, Texas. Funeral services were held at the Many First Baptist church on Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. with the pastor, W. H. Rose officiating. Interment was in the Fort Jesup cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral Home. Pallbearers were: T. M. Phillips, R. B. Jackson, J. B. Vandegaer, C. L. Massingill, W. E. McNeely and J. H. McNeely, Jr., the last two mentioned being the nephews of the deceased.
