"Nick" Nichols, 76, of Zwolle, were held at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 8, at the Warren Meadows Chapel. Graveside services and interment followed at 1:30 p.m., at the Forest Park West in Shreveport, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. Vernon Stephenson officiated the services. Mr. Nichols passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, at the Sabine Medical Center in Many. He is survived by his wife, Doris Nichols of Zwolle; one son, J. E. Nichols of Parker, Arizona; two daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Chuck Wilkerson of Kilgore, Texas, and Faye and Henry Holyfield of Doyline; two brothers, Alcie Nichols of Los Cruces, New Mexico, and Willie Nichols of Winnsboro; three grandchildren; and six step grandchildren. Pallbearers were Conway Sinclair, James Deal, James C. Bohon, Bill Hamilton, Jay Denton, Joe Calvin Jones. Honorary pallbearers were Pete Gibson, Buddy Scott, Byron Medley, and Don Pilkington.
