Nixon Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, for Olney Everett Nixon, 69, of Huttig, Ark. (Union County), who died Monday, in a local hospital. Services were in the Harper Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lavelle Tinsley, and the Rev. Freeman McMenis officiating. Burial was in Harper Springs Cemetery, under direction of Rumph Mortuary of El Dorado. Mr. Nixon was a farmer, and was a native of Huttig. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pauline Foster Nixon of Huttig; three sons, William J. Nixon of Florien, James O. Nixon of Montecello, Ark., and Joseph E. Nixon of Caroline Isles; a daughter, Mrs. Oleta Benson of Huttig; two brothers, Harper Nixon of El Dorado, and Ralph Nixon of Carthage, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Icye Crain of El Dorado, and Mrs. Willie Bardin of Crossett; and four grandchildren.
