Frank Matwa Niette

  Services for Mr. Frank Matwa Niette, 85, of Robeline, were held
at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 24, at St. Ann Catholic Church in
Powhatan. Father Chenevert officiated. He was assisted by Brother
Bob Wallace. Burial was in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery.

  He died Thursday, Oct. 22, at the V. A. Hospital in Shreveport,
La., following a lengthy illness.

  Mr. Niette is survived by four sons, Almond Niette of Bossier
City, and Carol Niette, Doyle Niette, and Preston Niette, all of
Blanchard; three daughters, Vera Fuller, and Bonnie McEachron,
both of Muskogee, Okla., and Annette Proctor of Talaquah, Okla.;
two brothers, Jack Niette of Natchitoches; and Johnny Niette of
Marthaville; 27 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
