Tom Newton

  Funeral services were held for Tom Newton, 86, of Many,
Wednesday, March 21, at 2 p.m., at the New Jerusalem Baptist
Church, with the Rev. L. D. Davis officiating. Interment was in
the New Jerusalem Cemetery, under the direction of Tommie Thomas
Funeral Home.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Catherine Newton, and seven
children, Selven Newton, Lennon Newton, Mrs. Rosie Davis, Mrs.
Bernice Neal, Mrs. Emma Lee Thomas, Mrs. Bertha Johnson, and Mrs.
Disnah Joseph, all of Many; 28 grandchildren, 20 great
grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and
friends.
