Selvin Roy Newton Jr.

  Funeral services for Mr. Selvin Roy Newton Jr., 52, were held
Saturday, Oct. 14, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Burial was in
the New Jerusalem Cemetery: Thomas Mortuary was in charge.

  Mr. Newton passed away at 4:35 a.m., Oct. 11, after a short
illness. He leaves to mourn, his wife, Mrs. Carrie Newton; four
sons, Charles, Warren, Ricky, and Byron Newton; two daughters,
Mrs. Iwanda Canga, and Mrs. Effie Booth; two sons-in-law, Mr.
Luis Canga, and Mr. James Booth, all of Houston, Texas; a father,
Mr. Selvin Newton Sr.; a wonderful stepmother, Mrs. Ethel Newton
of Many; eleven grandchildren; and a host of relatives and
friends.
