Selvin Newton

  Funeral services for Selvin Newton, 78, of Many, were held
Saturday, Sept. 14, 1996, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Interment was at New Jerusalem Cemetery, under the direction of
Thomas Mortuary.

  Mr. Newton passed away Monday, Sept. 9, at his home in Many.

  He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Ethel Newton; one
daughter-in-law, Carrie Newton of Houston, Tex.; eight
grandchildren, Charles, Warren, Iwonda, (Peaches), Effie, Ricky,
Byron, Selvin, and Regina; nineteen great grandchildren; two
sisters, Emma Thomas, and Bertha Johnson of Many; one brother,
Joe Newton, Hope Godson, Rotheria Sowell; a host of relatives,
nieces, nephews, and friends.
