Mrs. Dixie Neel

  Mrs. Dixie C. Neel, 86, of Mitchell, died Monday. Funeral services
were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, in the Drewett Funeral Home, with
the Rev. Bill Wyatt, and the Rev. Ward officiating. Burial was in
the Oak Grove Cemetery near Converse.

  Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Mamie E. Hortman of Laurel,
Miss., Miss Verlon N. Terrell, Mrs. Marie N. Wrogg and Mrs. Lorene
Neel, all of Mitchell, Mrs. Annis L. Gilliam of Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada; two sons, Amos Neel, and Thomas Neel, both of Mitchell; 11
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Willie
Dykes of Noble, Mrs. Betty Blankenship of Pleasant Hill, Mrs. Hazzie
Campbell of Oklahoma, and Mrs. Huey Ward of Shreveport.
