Herbert Reese Neel (Photo)

  Herbert Reese Neel, known as "Jimmy" in Sacramento, Calif.,
where he resided for the past 60 years, was reared in Sabine
Parish, Many, La., his birthplace.

  He was the last member of the Smith Neel, Morjanor Arthur Neel
Family, all reared in the Negreet, La. area of Sabine Parish.

  Mr. Neel moved to Sacramento, Calif., his career being in the
timber business. He owned and operated the McKuen Moulding Co.,
which he purchased in the late 30's.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Verda, in 1972, and an
infant daughter, Eloise, who was buried in Lake Charles. He is
survived by nieces and nephews.

  Interment was in East Lawn Mausoleum, Sacramento. He was a
Methodist, Mason, and Shriner.
