Neal, 46, were held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 14, 1989, at the Rose-Neath Logansport Chapel. Officiating was the Rev. S. D. Price, and the Rev. Doyle English. Burial followed in Cool Spring Cemetery near Logansport. Mr. Neal died Monday, April 10, in Stanley, New Mexico, after a sudden illness. He was formerly of the Trinidad, Texas area, and was a ranch foreman. Mr. Neal was a star football player, and a 1962 graduate of Logansport High School. He was a member of Beefmaster Breeders Universal. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lee Neal. He is survived by his wife, Susan Neal of Stanley, New Mexico; his mother, Pauline Neal of Logansport; four daughters, Wendy Vogel of Mandarin, Florida, Misty Foster of Haynesville, La., Frosty Neal of Seattle, Washington, and Christy Neal of Homer, La.; four sisters, Sara English of Hornbeck, Joyce Cogswell, and Kathy Thomas of Logansport, and Patricia Boyd of Simsboro, La.; two brothers, Charles Neal of Athens, Texas, and Britt Neal of Mansfield; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers were Gerald Files, Rod Richey, Billy Lynch, Rudy Tilley, Jerry Stuart, Joe Sayers, Hop Fester, Freddy May. Honorary pallbearers were Art Hopkins, Jack Day, Jack Smith, Eddie Ray Scroggins.
