Mr. L. A. Noel

  Services for Mr. L. A. Noel, 91, were held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday,
November 17, at the First Baptist Church of Converse, with the
Rev. Bob Phillips officiating. Burial followed at Union Springs
Cemetery near Converse.

  Mr. Noel died Thursday, Nov. 14, in Mansfield, after a lengthy
illness. He had been a farmer in Converse for the past 65 years,
and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Converse.

  He is survived by one stepson, Lynn Brown of Anaheim, Calif.;
one daughter, Doris McDonald and her husband Don of Converse;
three sisters, May Lynch of Houston, Texas, Lou Windham of
Nacogdoches, Texas, and Laverne Moore of Hemphill, Texas; two
grandchildren, Jeff McDonald of Shreveport, and Donna McDonald of
Natchitoches; 14 step grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren.
