All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Luther Nelson Funeral services for Mr. Luther Nelson, 89, of Robeline, were held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, 1996, in the Blanchard-St. Denis Chapel of Natchitoches, The Rev. Brian Jennings officiated. Burial followed in Lamberton Cemetery in Robeline. Mr. Nelson passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, at his residence in Robeline. He was a farmer, and a former pipeline construction worker. Survivors include three sons, Luther Donald Nelson, Ronald Nelson, and Dean Nelson, all of Robeline; eight daughters, Johnnie Marie Johnson of Natchitoches, Mary Laroux of Marthaville, Syble Gray of Adel, Ga., Mable Bachelor of Lapine, Ala., Vera Priest of Troup, Texas, Janet Price of Plattville, Ala., Trudy Boswell of Montgomery, Ala., and Sandy Eiland of Troup, Texas. He is also survived by one sister, Carrie Nelson of Robeline; one brother, Corrie Nelson of Robeline; 36 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Jordan Nelson. Pallbearers were Michael Nelson, Terry Nelson, Kerry Nelson, Billy Nelson, Jason Nelson, and Willie Hey. Honorary pallbearers were all other grandchildren.
