All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Everett "Red" Nelms Funeral services for Mr. Everett "Red" Nelms, 61, of Hornbeck, were held at 10 a.m., July 24, 1986, at the Bible Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. T. J. Crosby, and the Rev. Wayne Reynolds officiating. Burial was in the Mitchell Cemetery, Anacoco, under the direction of the Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home of Leesville. Mr. Nelms passed away July 22, 1986, at 8:10 a.m., in the Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder. He was a native of Anacoco, and before his retirement, was a Post Engineer. He was a Past Master of the Toro Masonic Lodge No. 253. There were Masonic graveside rites. He is survived by his wife, Pauline Nelms of Hornbeck; two daughters, Mrs. Jewel Parent, and Mrs. Neda Bridges, both of Hornbeck; three brothers, Dwight Nelms of Atlanta, Georgia, Glyn and Leon Nelms, both of Hornbeck; four sisters, Mrs. Agartha Taylor of Hornbeck, Mrs. Dorothy Dixon of Silsbee, Tex., Mrs. Verdie Linkenfelter of Shreveport, and Miss Shirley Nelms of Pleasant Hill; and two grandchildren.
