Mrs. Marie Monk Nunley

  Services were conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801
Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, for Mrs. Marie Monk Nunley, 62, of
Shreveport, at 12:30 p.m., Monday, April 24. Officiating was Dr.
W. D. "Step" Martin, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Interment
was at Centuries Memorial Park.

  Mrs. Nunley entered into rest, Friday, April 21, 1989, at LSU
Medical Center, after a long illness. A native of Converse, La.,
she had lived in Shreveport for the past 38 years. She was a
member of Calvary Baptist Church, and was a former Sunday School
Teacher.

  She is survived by her husband, Leon Nunley of Shreveport; her
mother, Effie Mae Monk of Logansport; one daughter, Linda Hunter
of Shreveport; one son, Johnny Nunley of Greenwood; two sisters,
Dorothy Clark of Center, Tex., and Ann Robert of Bossier City;
one brother, Billy Earl Monk of Shreveport; five grandchildren;
and a host of other relatives and friends.

  Pallbearers were Blain Clark, Kevin Monk, Jarrett Monk, Richard
Nesbett, Randy Nesbett, Mike O'Brian.
