Neuman, 71, formerly of Many, was dead on arrival at Singing River Hospital, Monday, Oct. 25. A resident of Moss Point, Miss., Neuman, who was born Jan. 30, 1905, in Fairfield, La., owned and operated Handy Food Store in that city. Survivors include his widow, Mrs., Sally Neuman of Moss Point; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Holley of By Point, Miss., and Mrs. Melva Tompkins of Kenner; three sons, Elmer R. Neuman of Orange, Tex., Prentiss Neuman of Pascagoula, Miss., and Edward Neuman of Big Point, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Odie Mae Turner of Silsbee, Tex., and Mrs. Nora Cassel of Lake Charles; 19 grandchildren; one great grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives., Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m., in the Holden-Wells Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Killingsworth officiated. Burial was in the Serenity Gardens.
