The services, in charge of Rev. Lloyd Anderson of the Baptist Church, were followed by interment in Burns Cemetery. Mrs. Newman's death came at 9:30, Friday night, at Valley View Hospital, at the end of a four day illness. Mrs. Newman was born in Hornbeck, La., July 12, 1904, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Pynes. She moved from there to McNary, Ariz., in 1925, where she was united in marriage to Thomas Newman, on December 5, 1927. Mrs. Newman accompanied her husband to Seneca when operations of the Hines Company were begun in 1929. Survivors are Mr. Newman and four children, Effie, Tommy Lou, Albert, and Billy, all of Seneca; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Pynes of Hines; four brothers and one sister, Sam, and Ed Pynes of Seneca, Roy, and Ray Pynes of Hines, and Mrs. O. F. Presley of Big Springs, Texas.
