Norris Lewis Madlin Norris, 83, died Monday, April 25, in a Vivian hospital, after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, at the Hanner Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Troy Hall, and Dr. R. S. Crawford officiating. Burial was in the Vivian Cemetery. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Mrs. C. E. Hilton, Mrs. J. A. Selmon, and Mrs. Ben F. Gibson, all of Vivian, Mrs. T. S. Roberts of Gonzales, and Mrs. J. E. Timmons of Kansas City, Mo.; four sons, J. M. Norris, and C. A. Norris, both of Vivian, M. W. Norris of Mirland, Tex., and J. L. Norris of Many; five sisters, Mrs. Winnie Cristian of Grand Cane, Mrs. Bertie James of Shreveport, Mrs. G. H. Creig of Goodridge, Tex., Mrs. Ina Autrey of Auburn, Ala., and Mrs. Geraldine Veigler of Olla; three brothers, G. B. Norris of Mooringsport, Charles Norris of Beaumont, Tex., and Tom Norris of Longview, Tex.; and 24 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
