All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Rosa (Hazel) Norwood Services for Mrs. Rosa (Hazel) Norwood, 72, were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Old Union Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. G. L. Burr, assisted by Bro. Lester Berleson. Burial was at the Old Union Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Mr. Norwood died Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Shreveport, after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of DeSoto Parish, a retired employee of Pelican High School, and was a longtime member of the Old Union Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ross Norwood, Mansfield; one son, Donald W. Norwood and his wife Lola; one grandson, Greg Norwood, all of Shreveport; one sister, Eloise Putsch of Shreveport; one brother, Melvin Sepulvado and his wife Wanda of Angleton, Texas; one aunt, Mary Sepulvado of Zwolle; one uncle, Gus Sepulvado of Ebarb; two nephews; five nieces. Pallbearers were Steve Palmerton, David Slack, Richard Norwood, Charles Norwood, Ronald Norwood, and Bill Pylant.
