Interment was in Old Union Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Presley Marcantel. Mrs. Norwood was born in Bolivar, La. She was a lifelong resident of the Benson community. She died Sunday, Jan. 2, in the Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, following a short illness. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Old Union Baptist Church in Benson. Mrs. Norwood was preceded in death by her husband, Burdette B. Norwood. She is survived by two daughters, and sons-in-law, Nadine and Marshall Reed of Terrell, Tex., and Dianne and Del Worth of Mesquite, Tex.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Maxine Norwood of Pine Bluff, Ark., Ronald G. and Sally Norwood of Benson, La., and Richard and Jeanette Norwood of Mansfield; one sister, Hazel Jenkins of Eunice; eight grandchildren, Pam Stickel, Mike Norwood, Kim Norwood, Mark Worth, Amanda Worth, John Roy Norwood, Bobby Norwood, and Rebecca Norwood; and one great grandchild, Tyler Stickel. Pallbearers were Mike Norwood, Bryan Norwood Jr., Donald Norwood, Louis Rascoe, Jackie Rascoe, and Rodney Rascoe.
