Mrs. Mabel Isolene Brown Norwood

  On Monday, Jan 3, 1994, at 2 p.m., services for Mrs. Mable
Isolene Brown Norwood, 79, of Converse, were held in the Old
Union Baptist Church near Benson. Interment was in Old Union
Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel.
Officiating was Rev. Presley Marcantel.

  Mrs. Norwood was born in Bolivar, La. She was a lifelong
resident of the Benson community. She died Sunday, Jan. 2, in the
Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, following a short
illness. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Old Union
Baptist Church in Benson.

  Mrs. Norwood was preceded in death by her husband, Burdette B.
Norwood.

  She is survived by two daughters, and sons-in-law, Nadine and
Marshall Reed of Terrell, Tex., and Dianne and Del Worth of
Mesquite, Tex.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Maxine
Norwood of Pine Bluff, Ark., Ronald G. and Sally Norwood of
Benson, La., and Richard and Jeanette Norwood of Mansfield; one
sister, Hazel Jenkins of Eunice; eight grandchildren, Pam
Stickel, Mike Norwood, Kim Norwood, Mark Worth, Amanda Worth,
John Roy Norwood, Bobby Norwood, and Rebecca Norwood; and one
great grandchild, Tyler Stickel.

  Pallbearers were Mike Norwood, Bryan Norwood Jr., Donald
Norwood, Louis Rascoe, Jackie Rascoe, and Rodney Rascoe.
