James W. Norred

  Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church in
Forest, for former High School principal, J. W. Norred, 73, who
passed away Saturday, April 18, after a short illness. He was
principal at Converse Alliance, and Belmont. He served in World
War I. He was a native of Texas, received A. B. Degree from
Northwestern, and masters degree from L.S.U.

  He leaves his wife, Mrs. Leah Johnson Norred; one son, Don, of
Forest; a brother, Jack Norred of Houston; one sister, Mrs. N. F.
Hennington of Memphis; several nephews; and a host of former
students and friends, who will miss him.
