All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Doris Pauline Norwood Funeral services for Doris Pauline Daniels Norwood, 74, were held at 10 a.m., Aug. 30, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Mansfield, with the Rev. Wilton Wager, and Bro. Mike Russell, both of Mansfield Missionary Baptist Church, conducting services. Burial followed in the Magnolia Cemetery in the Hunter Community. Mrs. Norwood died Aug. 28, 2002 in Mansfield. She was a member of Mansfield Missionary Baptist Church, was active for several years with VFW Auxiliary Post #7685. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Mamie Daniels; one brother, Johnny Daniels; one sister, Mildred Mitchell; and her husbands, James Ernest Norwood, and Jerrell "Red" Woods. Survivors include one son, James "Jimmy" Norwood and wife Sissy of Stanley; three daughters, Billye N. Sims and husband Clyde of Grand Cane, Dianne N. Boyt and husband Jeffery of Mansfield, Peggy N. Boyt and husband Larry of Lula; one brother, Roy Daniels of Stanley; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers were family members Brad Norwood, Ricky Flores, Matt Boyt, Dustin Boyt, Dennis Mitchell, and Larry Boyt. Honorary pallbearers were Jeffery Boyt, and Zachary Austin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Ben Leggio, and Dr. Gary Burton, and the staff of DeSoto Regional Medical System.
