J. C. Clement, pastor First Baptist church, Many, and Rev. Adkins, pastor Fort Jesup Baptist church, officiating. Mrs. Varnado was born near Fort Jesup, lived all her life there. She is survived by: five daughters, Mrs. Reuben Goodman, Many, Mrs. Henry Mims, Robeline, Mrs. Raymond Salter, Noble, Ill., Mrs. Ray Winn and Mrs. Melvin Rhodes, both of Shreveport; three sons, John and Morris, both of Many, Otha, Flanklin; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Miss Jessie Stoker, Fort Jesup; three brothers, Allen and Riley Stoker, both of Fort Jesup, and Robert Stoker, Lake Charles. The pallbearers were grandsons, Gene Parker, Many, Gordon Parker, Shreveport, O. E. Varnado Jr., Robeline, Cecil Mims, Many, Donald Wilford, Shreveport; son-in-law, M. C. Miller, age 67 years, were held 10 o'clock last Thursday from First Baptist Church, Rev. J. C. Clement officiated, assisted by Rev. Henry T. Young and Rev. J. D. Scott. Interment was in Many cemetery, Massingill funeral home in charge. Pallbearers were: Louis Miller, Norman Curtis, Evelyn Patrick, Herbert Gandy, Clarence Brumley, W. K. Logan. Honorary pallbearers were: John E. Jackson, C. D. Hancock, Dr. S. F. Fraser, Dr. G. F. Weber, A. L. Head, J. P. Stewart, A. L.
