All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Alice Irene Oberle (Photo) Services were conducted at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home at 8801 Mansfield Rd., Shreveport, for Mrs. Alice Irene Oberle, 93, of Shreveport, Monday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. Officiating was the Rev. Crawford Williams, and the Rev. Jack Merritt, pastor of Ingleside Baptist Church, where she was a member. Interment was at Centuries Memorial Park. She entered into rest November 2, 1984, Friday, at Guest House Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Oberle was a native of Sabine Parish, La., and a resident of the Shreveport area for the past 65 years. She was a member of the Magnolia Lodge. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Berline Offutt, Mrs. Aline Todd, Mrs. Mildred Mangogna, all of Shreveport, and Maurine Strickland of Orange, Texas; one son, Marvin Oberle of Shreveport; two sisters, Mrs. J. C. (Ganie) Neighbors, and Mrs. Eillie (Jencie) Neighbors, both of Zwolle, La.; two brothers, H. D. Campbell, and W. P. Campbell, both of Shreveport; nine grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Billy Oberle, Charles Offutt, Marvin Offutt, Leslie Lee, Andrew Mangogna, and Robert Edwards.
