MR. EDWARD R. OXLEY

Sabine Index, Many, Louisiana.


Mr. Edward R. Oxley, 88, of Blanchard (Louisiana) died Thursday, July 31,
(1997) at Pilgrim Manor in Bossier City.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 1, at Warren Meadows
Chapel with interment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Many.  The Rev. E. E. Walker
officiated.

Survivors include his widow, Janie Oxley of Blanchard; one son , Charles Oxley
of Shreveport, one brother, Clifton Elois Oxley of New Orleans; seven
grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  Mr. Oxley was preceded in death by
two sons, Gordon and Ronnie.

Honorary pallbearers were the deacons of the Oak Hill Baptist Church.
