Henry P. Oxley

  Henry P. Oxley, 83, of Many, died in Natchitoches on Saturday,
Jan. 12, at 4 p.m., following an extended illness.

  Oxley is survived by his widow, Mrs. Effie Oxley of Many; two
sons; Hurbert L. Oxley, and Francis H. Oxley, both of Many; three
daughters, Mrs. Dana Mitchell, Mrs. Nettie Mitchell Leach, and
Mrs. Otha B. Leggett, all of Many; a brother, Edward Oxley of
Florien, 24 grandchildren, and 37 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Trinity
Baptist Church, with the Rev. H. H. Tibbitts, the Rev. Earl Marr,
and the Rev. Glen Lanier officiating.

  Burial was in the Oxley Cemetery.
