Oxley, 88, formerly of Robeline, died on Monday, Dec. 5, in a Natchitoches hospital. Services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Many. Officiating was Bishop Glen Hardy. Speakers were Brother Albert Hardy, and Brother Gilbert Conner of Coushatta. Burial was in Fort Jesup Cemetery, with Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home, Natchitoches, in charge. Pallbearers were Johnny Maran, Jimmy Howell, Tom Moran, Clinton Richardson, Huey McDonald, and Lester Bridy. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wylene Jacobs, Many; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Howard, Mrs. Allie Howard, and Mrs. Bedie Snyder, all of Many; two brothers, Joseph Russell, and O. V. Russell, both of Many; two grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
