"Red" O'Kelly Sr., 74, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Local Care Center. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 14, at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in Westlake, with interment following at Westlake Memorial. The Rev. Tim Guthrie, and the Rev. Lawrence Hidalgo officiated. Mr. O'Kelly was a native of Risen, Ark., and moved to Westlake in 1952. He later moved to Toledo Bend 13 years ago. He worked for GSU for 29 years, and owned and operated O'Kellys Krispy Chicken in Westlake. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Westlake. He was also a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Florien, where he was a Sunday School Teacher, and a Sunday School Director. Survivors include his widow, Jeaneane O'Kelly Jr. of Westlake, Henry O'Kelly of Longville, and Stephen Estes of Shreveport; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
