  Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Denise O'Connor, 21, were held
at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 1992, in Peason Pentecostal Church.
The Reverends Roy Thompson, M. C. Green, Ray Highfield, and
Richard Heard officiated over the services. Interment followed in
Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Mrs. O'Connor died Monday, July 27, 1992, at St. Luke Episcopal
Hospital in Houston, Texas.

  She is survived by her husband, Brian O'Connor of Houston,
Texas; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Matthews; maternal
grandfather, Dewey C. Rutherford; paternal grandmother, Grace
Matthews; one brother, Kelvin Matthews, all of Florien; and a
host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends.

  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashtin Jade Noel
O'Connor.

  Pallbearers were Steve Johnson, Jason Funderburk, Bradley Marr,
Ronnie Matthews, Allen Manasco, Tim Wilson, Donnovan Weldon, and
Kenny Sharp.

  Honorary pallbearers were Gary Westfall, Daniel Chris Matthews,
Chris Paul Matthews, Sidney Paul Matthews, Charles O'Connor, and
Joey Matthews.

  Singers were Sandra White, Tommy O'Con, Audie Shielda Wilson,
and Jean Sharp.
