Survivors include two sons, Franklin Oliver of Negreet, and Roy Oliver of Jackson, Miss.; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Starks of Florien, Pearl Longoria, and Belle Roberts, both of Merryville, and Esther Tyler of Shreveport; two brothers, Louis Rogers of Slidell, and Henry Rogers of Silsbee, Tex.; 45 grandchildren; 95 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 10 a.m., in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Officiating were the Rev. Phillip Tisdale, and the Rev. Truman Leach. Burial was in the Bronson, Tex. Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Pallbearers were John Oliver, Abe Longoria, James Longoria, Eugene Oliver, Gary Oliver, Charles Ray Oliver, Clifford Starks, and Wayne Ayres.
