Officiating was Rev. Kenneth Leach Sr., and Rev. Max McGough. Interment was at Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Military graveside services were conducted by the Sabine Chapter No. 21, of the DAV. Mr. Oliver passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Sabine Medical Center in Many. He was preceded in death by one son, Ross Glenn Oliver; two grandsons; and one great granddaughter. Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife, Bertha Oliver of Many; five daughters, Lanell Steele, Faye Wedgeworth, both of Many, Carolyn Elliott of Keatchie, Charlotte Bush, and Judy Hippler, both of Many; three sons, John Oliver of Patroon, Tex., Jimmy Oliver of Ft. Jesup, and David Oliver of Many; three sisters, Pearl Longoria of Merryville, Mary Starks of Mt. Carmel, and Esther Tyler of Shreveport; one brother, Ray Oliver, also of Shreveport; 22 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Steve Manshack, Chris Oliver, Timothy Rhame, Jimmy Bray, and John Sepulvado, Bobby Steele, Shane Hippler, and William Connell. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Oliver, Gene Cooley, Brian Bray, James Longoria, Eugene Oliver, Hollis Bray, and Billy Crouch.
