Mr. Samuel Owens

  Mr. Samuel Dixon Owens, 92, died in Many, Sunday, Feb. 20, at 11
p.m., after an extended illness.

  Survivors are three sons, S. N. Owens of San Augustine, Tex.,
Lloyd Owens of Many, and Lenard Owens of Shreveport; one
daughter, Mrs. David Jett of Hornbeck; two sisters, Mrs. Frankie
Tucker of Stamps, Ark., and Mrs. Josie House of Texarkana; seven
grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

  Services were held in the Calvary Baptist Church, Tuesday, Feb.
22, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. O. S. Robert, the Rev. Olin Walters,
and the Rev. Carl Greer officiating. Interment was in the Mt.
Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral
Home of Many.

  Pallbearers were Joel Speight, Hoyt Hughes, Frank Folden, Clyde
Sneed, Pete Anderson, and Kenny Nichols.
