O'Neal, 83, of Shreveport, were held at 4 p.m., Feb. 22, in Wellman's Funeral Home. Burial was in Forest Park West Cemetery. Mr. O'Neal died at 1:20 p.m., Feb. 21, at Schumpert Medical Center, after a short illness. He had been a resident of Shreveport since 1959, and was a native of Many. He was a retired farmer. Mr. O'Neal was a member of Congregational Methodist Church, and was a veteran of World War I. Officiating at the services was Rev. Billy Franks of Oakmont Church of God, and the Rev. E. M. Cooper. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Tishie O'Neal of Shreveport; two daughters, Muriel O'Neal of Shreveport, and Mrs. Jerry Partain of Butler, Ga.; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dennis Partain, Jack Brandon, Richard Whitehead, Howard Brandon, Thomas Fussell, and Ed Smith.
