Memorial services were held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Phil Christopher officiated. Mrs. O'Hara was a native of Florien and lived in California most of her live. She was a retired educator, teaching both in the California High School System and at the college level. She received her Master's Degree in Education from Sacramento City College. Survivors include her husband, Barney J. O'Hara of Anacoco; one son, Patrick Stanley O'Hara of Brookins, Ore.; two grandchildren; and five sisters, Nancy Vollmer of Birmingham, Mich., Marvadine Oilman, Billie Demeritt, Lorene Herr and Shirley Roberts, all of Lake Charles.
