Colice E. Owers

  Colice E. Owers, 74, of Hornbeck, died Thursday afternoon, Nov.
15, in a Shreveport hospital, after a short illness.

  Services were held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, in Bible
Baptist Church in Hornbeck, with the Rev. Ernest Lord
officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery in
Hornbeck, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of
Leesville.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Velma T. Owers of Hornbeck;
three daughters, Betty J. Thornton of Houston, Tx., Sybil McNeill
of DeQuincy, and Shirley O'Bryan of Corpus Christi, Tx.; two
sisters, Alma Chance, and Velma Warrick, both of Hornbeck; five
brothers, Herman Owers of Hornbeck, Ed Owers of Sulphur, Joe
Owers of Lafayette, Fred Owers of Rayne, and H. W. Owers of
Tyler, Tx.; 12 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
