Herman R. Owers

  Funeral services for Herman R. Owers, 70, of Hornbeck, were held
at the Hornbeck Assembly of God Church on Saturday, Feb. 21, with
the Rev. James Roy Flanagan officiating.

  Mr. Owers died at the LSU Medical Center on Thursday, Feb. 19,
at 1:30 a.m., following a short illness.

  Burial was held at the Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction
of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Survivors include his widow, Macy Owers of Hornbeck; two
daughters, Janice Reeks of Hornbeck, and Hattie V. Owers of
Bossier City; four brothers, E. D. Owers of Sulphur; Joe Owers of
Scott, Fred Owers of Rayne, and H. W. Owers of Tyler, Tex.; two
sisters, Alma E. Chance of Hornbeck, and Velma Warrick, both of
Hornbeck; two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
