Leroy Owers

  7 Nov 1968 - Funeral services for Leroy Owers, 66, of Anacoco
were held Tuesday, Oct. 22, at the New Hope Baptist church in
Anacoco with the Rev. Cecil Laurence officiating. Burial was in
Good Hope Cemetery.


  Mr. Owers died in a Shreveport hospital Monday, 21, after a
brief illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Beulah Owers of Anacoco, one
daughter, Mrs. Pat Darden of Pasadena, Texas; one son, McCloy
Owers of Angleton, Texas; two brothers, Elton Owers and Robert
Owers, both of Anacoco; four sisters, Mrs. Lessie Behan and Mrs.
Rill Sanders of Hornbeck, Mrs. Marie Owers of Shreveport and Mrs.
Tishie Presley of Toro; and two grandchildren.
