Alice Owers

  Funeral services for Mrs. Alice C. Owers, 78, of Hornbeck, who
died Sunday, Feb. 21, at a Many hospital, were held at 2 p.m.,
Monday, Feb. 22, in the Assembly of God Church at Hornbeck.

  Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson
Funeral Home of Leesville.

  Survivors are six sons, C. E. Owers of Port Arthur, Tex., Herman
Owers of Hornbeck, Ed Owers of Lake Providence, Joe Owers of
Lafayette, Fred Owers of Rayne, and H. W. Owers of Lile, Tex.;
two daughters, Mrs. Alma Chance of Hornbeck, and Mrs. Velma
Warrick of LaPorte, Tex.; six brothers, Jim Stark, Clifton Stark,
Bunyan Stark, Ed Stark, Wyatt Stark, and Dave Stark, all of
Kirbyville, Tex.; five sisters, Mrs. Hettie Inman, Mrs. Lola
Simpson, Mrs. Lena Terry, and Mrs. Hazel Arrant, all of
Kirbyville, Tex., and Mrs. Linnie Stizner of Bon Weir, Tex.; 28
grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
