Mrs. Eunice Blackmon Orchid

  Funeral services for Mrs. Eunice Blackmon Orchid, were held at
First United Methodist Church of Many, Saturday, Sept. 22, at 2
p.m., with burial in Florien Cemetery. Rev. George McVay, Rev.
Martin, Rev. H. H. Tibbits, and Rev. Larry Laurant officiated.
Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Orchid died at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Tex.,
Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 11:15 a.m. She was 79 years old.

  Survivors include her four daughters, Mrs. Frank Blackshear of
LaPorte, Tex., Mrs. Mollie Fontenot of Ceretos, Calif., Mrs.
Norma Dodson of Vidor, Texas, Mrs. Linda Campbell of Many; three
sons, W. A. Orchid of Lakewood, Calif., Billy J. Orchid of
Beaumont, Tex., Jimmie W. Orchid of LaPorte, Tex.; one sister,
Mrs. Grace Bratton of Warren Ark.; 23 grandchildren; and 15 great
grandchildren, Mrs. Orchid is preceded in death by one son, Carl
A. Orchid Jr.

  Pallbearers were Scott Campbell, Bobby Orchid, Russell Dodson,
David Orchid, Mark McCullum, and James Mitchell.
