J. A. Benoit officiating. Interment in Dennis-Green Funeral Home directing. Mr. Andries, a life-long resident of Many passed away at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday at the family residence near Many. He was born here March 7, 1879. Mr. Andries was a well known citizen of Sabine Parish having lived most of his life in and around Many. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Mary Cecile Armstrong Andries; four sons, J. C., Leotia, Texas; Lucian Shreveport; Harold, Camp Polk; and Hubert, Mansfield; four daughter, Mrs. L. R. Pugh, Minden; Mrs. F. A. Hunter, Shreveport; Mrs. J. W. Gandy, Killgore, Texas; and Mrs. H. E. Mains, Minden; 14 grandchildren and a large number of friends to mourn his passing. Active pallbearers were nephews and son-in-laws: J. G. Andries, A. Blake Andries, J. J. Andries, Edward Andres, H. E. Mains, L. R. Pugh, J. W. Gandy and F. A. H. E. Chane Oct. 16. She died October 15 in Beaumont, Texas after a short illness.
