church. Rev. Jeff Holliday officiated, Massingill funeral home
directing.

  Surviving are: sons, Blanchard of Belmont, Robert of New York
City, Mack of Beaumont, Texas, Charlie of Florien; daughters,
Miss Caroline Bozeman of Belmont, Mrs. Laetitia Williamson of El
Paso, Texas, Mrs. W. F. Dicks of Dunbar, S. C., Miss Sunshine
Bozeman of El Paso, Texas, Mrs. Flournoy Walker, Carthage, Texas;

  4 Oct 1946 - Last rites for Mrs. Lucinda Collins, age 86
years, were held 3 p.m. Sunday at Bayou Scie. Rev. J. C. Price of
Pelican, assisted by Rev. Jeff Holiday and Rev. James C.
Whittaker of Zwolle. Massingill funeral home was in charge.

  Surviving are sons, Lee Bailey and Rufus Collins, Zwolle;
sisters, Mrs. Viola Pate and Mrs. Lottie Lynch of Zwolle and four
grandchildren.

  11 Oct 1946 - Funeral rites for Huey L. Dockins, age 17
years, were held 3 p.m. Monday at Provencal cemetery. Elders Geo.
M. Stainmaker and Fred L. Wagley officiated. Interment was in
Provencal cemetery, Massingill funeral home directing.

  Surviving are: parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Dockins; two
brothers, Wesley Dockins and Kenneth E. Dockins, all of Zwolle.

The Sabine Index - Asie Joe Gibson

  25 Oct 1946 - Funeral services for Asie Joe Gibson, age 50
years, who died of a heart attack at the home of friends in
Bosser City Saturday, were held Sunday, Oct. 20, at the Fenders
cemetery near Many with Rev. Don Stirling, pastor Zwolle Baptist
church officiating.

  Mr. Gibson was a veteran of World War I, a member of the
American Legion and a long-time resident of Shreveport.

  Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Lizzie Gibson, Zwolle; seven
sisters, Mrs. H. A. Horton, Mrs. J. W. Leggett and Mrs. Elmo
Brandon, all of Zwolle, Mrs. J. L. Ramsey and Mrs. Emerie Ramsey,
both of Many, Mrs. Vivian Vest, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. E. B.
Welch, Baton Rouge.

  Interment was in Fenders cemetery under direction of
Rose Neath funeral home Shreveport.

The Sabine Index - Mrs. Media Lafitte

  30 Aug 1946 - Mrs. Media Lafitte, age 64, who died at her
home in Many after a long illness, was laid to rest in Fenders
cemetery near Many Thursday. Funeral services were conducted at
First Baptist church 4 p.m. by the pastor, Rev. J. C. Clement.

  Massingill funeral home directed the last rites.

  Mrs. Lafitte is survived by ;sons, E. W., Daisetta,
Texas, Dewitt of Many, R. H. of Ruston, Albert of Gandy, Joe B.
of Trenton, N. Y. Glenwood of Ferriday; daughters, Mrs. J. C.
Morris, Mrs. Buck Miller and Miss Mamie Fern Lafitte, all of
Many; three sisters, four brothers and five grandchildren.

years, were held last Thursday from Belmont Baptist church at 4
p.m. Rev. J. C. Clement of Many officiated. Interment was in
Belmont cemetery under direction Massingill funeral home.

  Surviving are: cousins, Mrs. W. M. Phillips and Mrs. O. E.
Williams of Many, L. O. Crews of Holloway; sister-in-law, Mrs. W.
R. Skinner of Belmont.

  Mrs. Salter died at the home of her cousin, Mrs. W. M.
Phillips, Many.

  Pallbearers were: M. D. Wright, W. R. Skinner, C. D.
Hancock, Glen Phares, Harvey Skinner, J. M. Abington.
