All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - August 23, 1973 James Russel Peavy Funeral services for James Russel Peavy, two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Rayford Peavy of Tatum, were held at the Sullivan Colonial Chapel in Marshall, Thursday, Aug. 9, with the Rev. Jack Harris officiating. Burial was in the Martin Cemetery, four miles south of Tatum. They youngster died Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Marshall Memorial Hospital. He was born June 19, 1971 in Panola County General Hospital. Survivors include his parents; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Peavy of Tatum and Mr. and Mrs. Don L. Killian of Many; great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Peavy of Mabank and Mrs. Joe (Rosie) Eldridge of Beckville, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Vice of Beckville and Mr. and Mrs. John T. Killian of Florien; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins in Sabine Parish. Pallbearers were Charles Martin, Dwight Kelley, Steve Wardlow and John Stevens.
