  Jessie Peavy

  Funeral services for Jessie Peavy were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday,
Nov. 15 in Robeline United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Eddie
Edwards and Otis Shoemaker officiating. Burial was in Marthaville
Cemetery, Marthaville, under direction of Blanchard-St. Denis,
Natchitoches.

  Peavy, 88, of Marthaville died at 3 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, in
St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

  He was a retired log cutter and a native of Colfax.

  Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Tatum of Marthaville;
two sisters, Ardelle Chelette and Annie Belle Badgley, both of
Colfax; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
