"Buddy" Pipps died at 5:15 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 67, a native of Zwolle, and a resident of Baton rouge. He was a retired Illinois Central Railroad conductor, with 30 years service, and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. Religious services were conducted by Rev. Philip Spano Thursday, at 10 a.m., July 27, at the Rabenhorst Funeral Home East. Interment followed in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Mr. Pipps is survived by his wife, Mary Thomas Pipps; two sons, Henry and Tom Pipps, both of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Arline Miller of Minneapolis, Minn., Earline Brewer of New Orleans, and Henrietta "Penny" Weimer of Baton Rouge; and two granddaughters, Candice, and Christine Pipps. Pallbearers were his nephews, Mr. Pipps was a member of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, and Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
