Pace 14 Aug 1936 - Death of Mrs. I. L. Pace, widow of the late I. L. Pace, occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herald Williams, Friday morning, August 7, 7:00 a.m., after several months of illness. Mrs. Pace, before her marriage was Miss Effie Barbee. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Barbee. She was born June 19, 1872, being at her death 64 years, one month and 19 days old. She was married to Mr. Pace June 21, 1896, at Ft. Jesup, then moving to Many where they made their home and reared their children. Mrs. Pace was a member of the Methodist church, a sweet Christian character, a dear friend and a wonderful neighbor. She leaves to mourn her going four children, Gilbert Pace, Convent; Frank Pace, Shreveport, Mrs. Harold Williams and George Pace of Many; two sisters, Mrs. R. Pattison, Many, and Miss Nona Barbee, Shreveport, and one brother, R. L. Barbee, Los Angeles, Calif., two grandchildren, Sidney Lee Williams and Katherine Joy Williams of Many, and a host of relatives and friends.
