The Sabine Index - Elton Peace 
  
  29 Oct 1948 - MM1c Elton Peace, age 28, who was killed in an 
airplane crash on a routine flight in the Philippines Sept. 1, 
1945, was reburied with full military honors by the American 
Legion and Veterans of Foreign War at Pisgah cemetery, Toro, at 3 
p.m. Wednesday. Religious services were conducted from Pisgah 
Baptist church by Rev. Dan Jones, pastor Fisher Baptist church. 
Interment was under direction Massingill funeral home. 
  
  Surviving relatives included parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Peace, 
Toro; sisters, Mrs. Harold Mead, Minneola, Texas, Mrs. Keith 
Tabberer, Grand Rapides, Mich., Mrs. L. T. Chapman, Fairlee, Vt., 
Mrs. D. K Harmon, Kaplan, Mrs. Inez Brooks, Oklahoma City, Okla., 
Miss Nellie Peace, Toro, brother, Thomas Peace.
