Velma Batson Pugh

  Velma Batson Pugh died on Wednesday, Aug. 13, at DeSoto General
Hospital in Mansfield. She was 74.

  Survivors include two stepsons, Wallace Pugh of Mansfield, and
Hollace Pugh of Mooringsport; three stepdaughters, Dorothy
Thompson of Baton Rouge, Wilma D. Pugh, and Annie Morle, both of
Shreveport; four brothers, Clifton Batson, Clell Batson, and Otto
Batson, all of Zwolle, and Marvin Batson of Many; and one sister,
Maudie Lee Brown of Shreveport.

  Funeral services were held at the Zwolle United Pentecostal
Church on Friday, Aug. 15, at 1 p.m. The Rev. Ralph Ward
officiated. Burial followed in the Bethsadia Cemetery, under the
direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
