Pugh, 85, of Shreveport, were held at 1 p.m., Monday, March 10, at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel. Rev. Joe Aulds, pastor of Pinecroft Baptist Church, where he was a member, officiated. Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park. Mr. Pugh was a native of Noble, La., and a resident of Shreveport most of his life. He was a retired oil field driller, Quad Drilling Co., and president of the Residence Counsel at Guest House Nursing Home. He died at 5 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 1986, at Highland Hospital, following a long illness. Mr. Pugh is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Leta Pugh Bash and her husband, Dr. Vincent Bash of Houston, Texas; one grandson, Guy Lay of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Jenny Lankford of Ft. Payne Ala., and Jessie Handley of Many; three brothers, Noble Pugh of Noble, La., G. B. Pugh of Homer, and Bernard Pugh of Many; numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Mr. Pugh's Sunday Class of Pinecroft Baptist Church.
